It’s a 20 years celebration!!!! Here is a wedding cake that is near and dear to my heart !! And it has lots of meanings, so read all the story behind the cake!!
Before I go into the cake, I just want to start with how grateful I am to our God for his blessings. This anniversary happened because of His love and grace for both of us. We are so humbled and so overjoyed to be able to reach this milestone. All the ups and downs, the joy and challenges is part of the growth and it’s all for His glory and His glory only!!
Now the story behind the cake. So when I got married, I didn’t have a wedding cake. A cake is not usually a part of our culture at weddings when I had my wedding but I know nowadays they start having it. So at this milestone anniversary, I thought, why not make a wedding cake to commemorate this wonderful occasion!! And I get to have a wedding cake!!
As to making what kind of cake, I am baffled. This is a real challenge for me because I can bake it but I can’t decide which flavor to make. So I let my husband decided (It’s his wedding too!! ?) and he wanted Carrot Cake. So there’s it’s decided!! Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting!
Last but not least, the inspiration for the design. I searched and search on what kind of design I wanted to to for this cake. Lightbulb moment happened when I realized, why not our wedding invitation! As to how to make it more beautiful, I wanted to add flowers. Now I really don’t remember what flowers (I need to look back at the wedding pictures again!) I had at my wedding, but baby breath is one of my favorite flowers. So light, so bright, so delicate, it just brightens up my day!
Out of those things that I love, here’s what I made!! I love this cake!!! I wish I had this for my wedding!!! But it’s never too late!!! Here’s to 20 years in the making and cheers to many more anniversaries!!
