Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line muffin pan with muffin liners.
In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, matcha, and sugar. Mix it together. This is the dry mixture.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, melted butter, milk and vanilla extract. Stir the milk mixture into the dry mixture until just moistened.
Stir in pecans. Divide the batter among the prepared muffin cups using an ice cream scoop.
Bake in the preheated oven until golden and the tops spring back when lightly pressed, about 18-20 minutes. Cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes, then remove to cool on a wire rack.
