Cranberry Orange Custard Pie
The tartness of the cranberry and the sweetness of the custard is a great pari for this dessert. Great dessert when cranberries are in season.

Ingredients

9 inch pie crust
12
oz
bag of fresh cranberries
1 1/2
cups
sugar
3
eggs, beaten
1
cup
heavy cream
1/4
cup
flour
1/2
tsp
salt
1
tbsp
orange zest
1
tsp
vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Place the cranberries in the pie shell. Put the pie shell on a baking sheet with sides.
In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, heavy cream, flour, salt, orange zest and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is combined.
Gently pour over the cranberries. You might have extra liquid.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Turn down the temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for additional 40-45 minutes until the custard is set.
Cool on a wire rack. Refrigerate before serving.
