Ingredients
CRUST
- 1 cup butter softened
- cup ½powdered sugar
- 2 cup ¼all-purpose flour
FILLING
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 2 cups brown sugar lightly packed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp vanilla

Instructions
CRUST
- Preheat the oven to 350F degrees. Line the pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang around the edges.
- In a stand mixer bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in the flour. Remember to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl and do the last mix with a spatula.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the top looks set and is a pale, golden color. Remove from the oven and leave the oven turned on.
FILLING
- While the crust is in the oven, mix together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add in eggs, one at a time, then add the vinegar and vanilla.
- Pour over crust and bake another 25-30 minutes until filling is set or almost set — a slight jiggle is fine but you don't want a lot of movement.
- Cool to room temperature and refrigerate several hours before cutting into squares.
