Calling all Peanut butter lovers!! This Peanut butter sheet cake with the delicious peanut butter frosting is so easy to make and it’s mmm mmm good!!!! If you love peanut butter, this month is your lucky month!! It’s PEANUT BUTTER month!!
I just have to say, WHOA MOMMA!!! This recipe is amazing!!! It’s easy to make, you can make it with things that you already have, fast to whip up and it can feed a crowd. It’s like the unicorn of recipes!! And when I say it’s fast to whip up, it really is. You don’t even have to have the butter at room temperature!! Here we go!!
Prepare all your ingredients in stand mixer bowl.
Pour in the butter, peanut butter and water mixture, and mix it together. Then add the eggs and buttermilk and mix it together again.
Pour the mixture into the baking sheet. Make sure the baking sure has a lip and not a flat one.
Around 10 minutes into the baking time, start making the frosting. Bring butter, peanut butter and buttermilk to a rapid boil. Add vanilla and powdered sugar and whisk it until it’s smooth like so.
Then pour that amazing liquid gold on top of the baked cake.
Whoaaa Momma!! It is so amazing!! And it can feed a crowd!! Just make sure they’re not allergic to peanut butter!!

- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup butter room temperature
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 6 tbsp buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar

- Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray a half size sheet pan (13x18) with cooking spray.
- In a stand mixer bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt and baking soda.
- In saucepan, mix together peanut butter, water and butter.
- Bring to boil and pour over the flour mixture. Mix again.
- Add the eggs and buttermilk and mix until everything is combined.
- Pour into the greased sheet pan
- Bake at 350° for 20-25 min.
- In a medium saucepan, boil peanut butter and buttermilk.
- Add vanilla and powdered sugar and whisk until it becomes smooth.
- Pour on the cake while the frosting is still hot.
- Let cool completely and cut into bars.
