Wouldn’t you want these bars as your Christmas present?? This fun Oreo Blondies will be a hit with all the kids and the adults!! Day 6 of 12 Days of Christmas Brownies and bars is crunchy and decadent!!
This is for the combo lover out there!!! I have to say that people are really creative. You don’t just taste one flavor. There are so many things that you can combine and it’s even betterwhen combined together. Here are a few of my favorite combos:
- Cheesecake with Strawberries
- Angel food cake with Strawberries
- Lemon pound cake with blueberries
- Pizza and ketchup (Yes, I am one of those!)
Now this might be some mild combinations, but I know there are some weird combinations out there. Hey.. If you love it, who am I to judge!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!! Or the taste buds of the beholder!!! This combination is great because it’s soft because of the blondies. But then you get the crunch of the Oreos! It’s fun to make and fun to eat!! Let’s go make this bar!!!
In a stand mixer bowl, mix together the melted butter and brown sugar. Make sure to really mix everything together and the butter is not separated from the sugar.
Once it’s all combined, add in the eggs and vanilla extract.
Then add in the flour and salt, mix until just combined.
Pour in the chopped Oreos into the batter. It really depends on you how big or small you want it to be. I cut mine into about quarters. It doesn’t have to be exact, but I like how some bite has big chunks and some bites have small chunks.
At this point, I like to use my spatula for the final mix. If I use the mixer, it might be too powerful and crush all the Oreos. We want the crunch so a spatula and a gentle mix is all we need.
Bake this beautiful pan for about 25-30 minutes. Let it cool for about 1 hour to let it set and to make it easy to cut.
It’s soft and crunchy at the same time. And when you hit the cream of the Oreo, yum!!! Enjoy this easy to make Oreo bars!!
Happy Baking!!
