I hope this will tempt you to make them!! I bet you’ll love them too!!
In Indonesia, where I was born, this Danish Cookies tin is very familiar to all families. Whenever my family visits our extended family, we always bring treats to them. Now this tin is one of our favorite treats to bring. I was always excited when the family opens the tin and share them with us!! That means I get to eat it too!! If you like at the picture my favorite are the two on the left, near the drummer. And the far left one is the Melting Moments cookies. So now I don’t have to go to Indonesia to eat them, I can just bake them!
As in the other recipes, I like to prepare my dry ingredients in the beginning of my baking. For this recipe, I sifted the four and cornstarch together. I call this the dry mixture.
Cream together the butter and powdered sugar. Then add the vanilla extract and mix again.
Gently pour in the flour and cornstarch mixture that you sifted in the beginning.
Add the 1 tablespoon of milk and mix again. This will make the dough soft.
Using the large piping tip, pipe the dough unto the parchment paper.
Look at those rows of roses!!
After about 12 minutes in the oven, the side will looks golden brown. Check at about minute 11 so it won’t be burnt.
With a small piping tip, add a drop of the strawberry jam in the middle of the rosette.
Enjoy these little beauties!!
Happy Baking!!
