Your house will smell so good!!! When this bars are baking in the oven, oh it’s amazing how it will fill up your house with the aroma of winter!! On the 3rd day of Christmas, my true love gave me Cinnamon Bars!!!
So now that people are gathering more and more (Hip hip hooray!!!), we are looking for great and easy recipes to share with friends and families. Well, look no more!! This recipe is fast, very winter-y and Christmas-y and uses pantry staples. And it’s a built in room freshener, too!! 😂
In a stand mixer, place your butter and mix it together with brown sugar. Whenever mixing butter and sugar, do take your time. This is one of those thing that you cannot rush. I usually set a timer for 5 minutes and let my mixer run for that long, remembering to scrape the sides of the bowl.
After it’s light and fluffy, add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix again.
In a medium bowl, combine together baking powder, salt, cinnamon and flour. Add to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.
Using an offset spatula, smooth the surface so that it will be even.
Final step is sprinkling the cinnamon and sugar. Don’t be shy and sprinkle away!!!
After baking for 25-30 minutes, this is what you’ll have!!! It may not look pretty but it sure is delicious!! If you are sharing it, make sure to save a few piece for you because it will be gone in a flash!!
Happy Baking!!
