If you’ve never made brown butter in your life before, here’s a good recipe to start!! It might sound fancy but it’s really easy to make. Just make sure that you stay by the stove!!! Day 8 is sweeten with Brown Butter Maple Blondies!!!
Brown butter. It’s really simple yet really change the game. The smell is nutty and just intoxicating. It’s really had to explain it but its just really rich. It’s amazing how one simple step really elevate the bars. How do you make brown butter? Place your butter in a saucepan and heat it on a medium high stove. Now this is not a multitask kind of job. I use to let the mixer go on while I start washing dishes. But with this, I have to make sure to stay by the stove. The tipping point of the butter from brown to burn is really tight. The first time I made one I didn’t stay by the stove and it burns. And once it’s burned, there’s no coming back from it. So be patient, stay by the stove and pay attention to the aroma. You’ll smell that nutty and intoxicating aroma once it’s ready and you’re ready to make this recipe!
In a stand mixer bowl, mix together the brown butter and brown sugar.
Then add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix it together.
Then add in the maple syrup.
Add in the dry mixture of flour, baking powder and salt. Mix it until just combined. Remember to scrape the sides and the bottom of the bowl and do the final mix.
While the blondies is in the oven, go ahead and make the glaze. Once the blondies is done, pour the glaze right on top of the blondies.
It glistens!! It totally glistens!!! Look how beautiful it is. Let it cool for about 1 hour to set, then you can cut into bars.
Brown butter Maple syrup Blondies, at your service!!! Enjoy!!!
Happy Baking!!
