So at the Nordic Ware Facebook, there was a post about using your bundt pun for anything other than for baking bundt pan. So it gives me an idea. How about Agar-agar?!! Agar-agar is almost similar to jello and it’s a dessert that’s known in Indonesia. As for the pan, the Heritage pan is my favorite pan of all time. It’s classy, it’s elegant and I think it’s ageless. I used this pan to make Matcha Bundt Cake with Matcha Glaze and as you can see it’s just simple yet beautiful.
Now this recipe is really easy to make and no baking necessary. It’s a unique post but it’s a fun one for sure. First lightly spray the pan with cooking spray. This will make it easier for you to invert it to a plate.
First boil water in a large pot. When it’s nice and boiling, pour in the agar-agar mixture and stir.
After it dissolves, add the condensed milk and stir for about 5 minutes.
After about 5 minutes, it will almost double in volume and it’s time to take it off the stove.
Carefully pour in the Agar-agar mixture into the bundt pan. You might have a little bit of extra mixture but make sure that the pan does not overflow.
Let it cool to room temperature and then refrigerate over night for it to set. Once it’s set, gently push the sides away for the pan and invert it to your plate. This Agar-agar is great with fruit but ever since I can remember, I always use fruit cocktail. Pour it in the middle and the sides.
How beautiful is this?!?!? I love it!!!! I hope you love it too!!!
Tips for making this Agar-agar with Fruit Cocktail :
- I used Swallow Globe brand Agar-agar powder. This is a brand that is used in most homes in Indonesia. You can get the Agar-agar online.
Happy baking!!
